Govt. has revised initial proposal but still increased and approved 3.5% tax on gain of up to Rs5 million on the sale of property (reduced from 5%),

7.5% on gain between Rs5 million to Rs10 million, (increased from initial 5% proposal but might not be treated under business income)

10% on gain from Rs10 million to Rs15 million and 15% on above Rs15 million gain

However, it has been made clear that withdrew of Rs100 billion taxes on different sector will make IMF programme more difficult and could go on a halt. FBR high-ups confirmed the desired tax collection target of Rs5,829 billion would be now achieved to satisfy the IMF through  very very strict enforcement tax collection and prosecutions in place.

Bascially policy has been reverted to old format and CGT has been increased a bit. Good news because proposed changes were looking to increase taxes by 300% and now tax only increased by 15-20%.

Lets see what happens with construction amnesty. We should hear news about renewal today or tomorrow.

Bascially taxes have been reverted to old policy slabs. Good news since previously they proposed to increase taxes by 300% and now they only increased by around 20%.

Let see what government does about amnesty renewal. We should get news about it today or tomorrow, seems like it will be extended. Also, FBR has no authority to changes tax laws now. Budget has already been passed as final consent comes from finance minister.

Befor new income tax of 35% was to be introduce in addition to capital gains – now that has has been removed n the previous tax slabs are back. for last year tax slabs were 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10 and 20% for various slabs. Now slabs follow:
“It has also approved 3.5% tax on gain of up to Rs5 million on the sale of property, 7.5% on gain between Rs5 million to Rs10 million, 10% on gain from Rs10 million to Rs15 million and 15% on above Rs15 million gain while striking a compromise with the real estate sector.” https://tribune.com.pk/story/2307934/na-clears-budget-with-majority-vote

with old proposal, taxation was to increase by 200-300% (it was almost to be tripled) but now cgt taxes increase by around 20% per slab (a fifth now). you follow?

I do not resort to such tactics. In that other thread, I am 100% sure you were posting from four different accounts because two accounts would suddenly reply within a few mins of each other. Here I have clearly replied many hours after Faraz because I checked the website first in the morning and now at night. Faraz is someone else.

In fact, so far I have noticed you may have posted from five different accounts. You seem to be the only one on this forum spreading fake news, totally being untrustworthy and manipulative by using several different accounts. I have never noticed such level of activity on this forum before you arrived. From my estimate, you started actively using this forum this week which is why there has been an uptick in bogus posts with fake phone numbers. I have been active on this forum for months now. Now every day there are 2-3 posts where you try to spread totally fake news and rumours. Unfortunately you do not have the audience that some of these big estate agencies have that can move and influence the market.

I truly do hope you get some very much needed help because you see to be quite shaken to learn amnesty will be extended and budget amendments will now keep the market bullish.

What, must I and Faraz send you our CNICs so you can see we are different people? And I know how to make an account so my phone number and email are private and not shown. If you don’t make an account and instead post as a guest, your phone number will be displayed.

I do not resort to your tactics of using several accounts. Neither am I an agent. Believe whatever you want, you seem to be very stubborn in your ignorance.

I never made it personal. You started with the insults and childish remarks, I am still making sensible comments. And reread my comments, perhaps you didn’t understand my cnic comment. And I take no offence ever, you are the only one getting offended by hard cold truth and facts.
