Aoa.

My mother has som land in Pakistan wich she wants to sell and her sisters family wants to buy it.
We are currently residing in Norway.

We have then written a POA in her sisters name regarding that specific land and that her sister can transfer, buy, sell the land etc. The POA is then been attested by Notary Public Norway, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then by the consul at the Pakistani embassy Norway.

Since we are residing in Norway and its better for us to get the amount in NOK, a friend of mine agreed that he can take cash in Pakistan and give us in NOK here In Norway.

Under my understanding they will only need the POA to make the transaction of the land. But my mothers family in Pakistan are saying that they will need the POA to verify it first and it will take some days.

Is that true? I mean it has been verified three times already.
If so, where would they need to verify this and when should we hand over the POA?

My mother is very afraid that if my friend will hand the PAO to them for verification and they will transfer the land in their name and she will not get the money.

Please advice, it will be highly appreciated.

Dear Usman,

I will not suggest such a transaction , best is that your mom should come over and sell it herself and receive the payment. However if the transaction is small and you are ready to take the risk I will suggest hiring a good consultant or lawyer to act as a Guarantor between both parties .

Jazak Allah
