- You must complete the construction of your house or plaza before 30th Seo 2022 to avail the source of income amnesty to include the cost of plot and construction.
- It is also adviseable that all construction related transactions should also be done through banks.
- The transfer cost now stands only at 360000 approx. for a 1 Kanal plot after reduction in CVT & stamp duty to only 1%.
Besdies DHA Lahore Phase 8 plots, Plots in Phase 6 of DHA Lahore and Phase 7 along with older phases from 1 to 5 and any other areas where possession is available also come under this scheme.
What you can not do
If you want to avail the source of income amnesty you can not do following:
- You can not buy a house which is already built and complete.
- Just buying the plot will not make you eleigible to enjoy the source of income amnesty.
- You can not buy a house with black money in 2021 or 2022.

Not only Phase 8 plots fall in the category which are eligible for source of income amnesty, it is also at a ripe stage. Although other developed areas will gain momentum as well in next few months, Phase 8 DHA Lahore is likely to get more attention from investors.
Ph 8 enjoys the best location among all phases of DHA in Lahore. Located right in front of Allama iqbal international airport Lahore. It is surrounded from all 4 sides with developed societies such as DHA Phase 8 (Ex Park View and Air Avenue ) and Eden city on its North west , DHA Phase 6 in its south east , DHA Phase 5 on its south west , Divine , KB colony , Eden houses , DHA Phase 1 and 2 on its south west . This is a unique advantage which will make it the heart of DHA Lahore in times to come.
The commercial areas of Phase 8 DHA Lahore also enjoy the significance of its location. Plots in Phase 8 Broadway commercial are located right on the entry of ring road and thus easily accessible.
Phase 8 has an approach from ring road, Bhatta Chowk or Phase 1 approach, Phase 6 approach, airport road approach and Barki Road approach, making it one of the easiest blocks to approach from in and around Lahore. Phase 8 reached a high note before its possession and prices were approx 4 to 7 Million higher than today. However since than it lost a lot in terms of price in PKR and even more in terms of USD. Presently the average price stands some where between 20 to 22 Million PKR for plots in Phase 8 Proper of Lahore DHA.
If you take into account PKR depreciation than the reduction in price is some where between 30 to 45 % from its last boon.
This is also applicable in commercial plots which have lost up to 55% in terms of USD.
The present market pulse is very much in favor of DHA Lahore Phase 8 as the main area of investment. I have discussed and asked opinion from some of the most experienced realtors in DHA Lahore and they all believe the same. Sentiment always plays a major role in Pakistans real estate market, which is built by these big players.
Where should you invest?
Following are my recommended areas if you are looking for investment including short selling in Phase 8 Plots DHA Lahore in order of priority:
- Residential possession plots DHA Lahore Phase 8 proper which includes blocks S, T, U, V, W.X & Y
- Commercial possession plots in Broadway commercial Phase 8.
- Commercial possession plots in CCA 1 and CCA 2 of DHA Lahore Phase 8.
- Residential and commercial possession plots in Phase 8 ex Park View (low priority).
- Phase 8 ex Air Avenue residential and commercial plots under possession (low priority).
Where you should not invest
While we are talking about which areas you should invest it is important that we also cover those areas which you should not invest.
- All areas including Z Ivy green which are not under possession.
- Any plots in any category of Phase 8 proper of DHA Lahore or Ex Park View or Ex Air Avenue which are not in possession.

As of now we can only speculate the trend in coming days. However I am convinced that not only it will gain the lost ground, it may also gain beyond it.
The reduction in the transfer cost of plots in DHA Lahore Phase 8 will play a major role. Low transfer costs will embolden the short sellers who will like to take advantage of the situation. It is now almost cut to half which means more people will be willing to take the risk.
The lead role will be taken by residential and commercial plots of Phase 8 proper. Other areas in Phase 8 may not see such huge investments but will indirectly gain anyways.
Although the main chunk of investment will come from Black money. Speculative and genuine investors will also like to ride the wave and take advantage.
If you have enough investment available than I will only recommend you Phase 8 proper. Although I do see gains in Phase 6 and Phase 7 and we will write about it soon as well. However Phase 8 proper may just give you better returns in my opinion.
Depending on your investment you can invest in S,T,U,V,W,X & Y blocks in residential areas. However it is preferable to stay in T,U,V & W blocks. X block is also lucrative in long term but probably may not perform as well as others in the present cycle.
When it comes to commercial plots, I will recommend to invest in Broadway commercials Phase 8, B and C block in general. However it is better to invest in a better location in A and D block than a compromised location in B 7 C blocks.
CCA 1 phase 8 proper and CCA 2 Phase 8 proper commercial plots may also gain momentum during this cycle. You can diversify in these areas but the first preference should be Broadway commercial.
